Hero MotoCorp is unquestionably the market leader in the two-wheeler segment, particularly for commuter bikes. Hero motorcycles can be found throughout the Indian subcontinent. The primary reason for this is the bikes' dependability, longevity, fuel efficiency, and minimal maintenance.

Hero MotoCorp 's product portfolio is diverse, making it difficult for customers to choose the best two-wheeler. In this article, we compare two of the most popular bikes by Hero — Splendor Plus and Passion Pro — to help you make an informed decision on what to purchase.

Hero Passion Pro vs Hero Splendor Plus – Quick Comparison

  1. Engine and Transmission

Both Hero Passion Pro and Splendor Plus are commuter bikes with small displacement engines. The Passion Pro is equipped with a single cylindrical engine that is air-cooled and uses fuel injection technology. Splendor Plus, on the other hand, has a single cylindrical engine but employs Overhead Camshaft (OHC) technology. However, the Passion Pro is superior when it comes to carrying heavier loads while still moving with ease. The reason for this is its higher torque.

Also, because of the lower torque, you will be able to enjoy a more comfortable ride with Splendor Plus, not needing to change gears frequently.

  1. Dimensions and Capacity

Hero bikes are regarded amongst the best commuter bikes in India due to the type of riding comfort they provide to their riders. If you live in an area with extremely poor roads and numerous speed breakers, the Passion Pro is the best choice due to its higher ground clearance of 180 mm. This safeguards your bike's critical components and silencer from damage caused by obstacles. In addition, Passion Pro’s longer wheelbase ensures that even with a lower kerb weight of around 118 kg, your bike will provide a stable ride on bad roads.

When you switch to Splendor Plus, you will not notice a significant difference in body size. But, because we are comparing these two Hero bikes, the Passion Pro has the advantage in terms of dimensions and capacity.

To conclude

Among the two popular bike models compared in this article, Hero Passion Pro has a slight advantage over Splendor Plus. It has improved styling, a powerful engine, and provides a comfortable ride even on long road trips. However, in fuel efficiency, there are hardly any two-wheelers that can compete with Splendor Plus. Moving on to the pricing, both these bikes are very affordable. In case you don't want to pay the entire price upfront, you can always finance your bike at a low bike loan interest rate.
